Erased Places - Dark Ambient Music Pack

Erased Places is a free pack of 10 dark ambient tracks for games. The music is about empty, forgotten places: abandoned buildings, frozen landscapes, wrecked machines, the quiet after something has gone wrong.

There are no drums, beats or catchy melodies, so the music stays in the background. It is built from slow drones, cold synth tones, and rough textures that sound like real-world noise: wind, metal, static, far-off machinery. The overall mood is dark, uneasy and a little sci-fi.

It works well for:

• exploration and open, empty levels
• title screens and menus
• puzzles and slow-paced gameplay
• calm, uneasy, or lonely scenes
• abandoned stations, ruins, wastelands and alien landscapes

Recorded live on a Eurorack modular synth and Torso S-4 sampler. Human-made, no generative AI.

What's included

• 10 seamless loops that repeat with no gap and no fade at the loop point
• 10 full versions with a fade-in and fade-out, for cutscenes, trailers and videos
• Two downloads, so you only grab the format you need:
  • WAV: 48 kHz / 24-bit, about 650 MB
  • OGG: Vorbis, about 57 MB, a good size for shipping in a game
• LICENSE.txt and README.txt in each download
• Loudness-matched at around −16 LUFS, so you can swap tracks without touching the volume

Engines

Drop-in ready for Unity, Unreal, Godot, GameMaker and RPG Maker. Set the audio source to loop and play from the start. Use the OGG files for Godot, GameMaker and RPG Maker MV/MZ, and the WAV files for Unreal.

License

• Free for commercial and non-commercial projects: games, videos, streams and apps
• You can edit, cut and loop the files inside your project
• Credit is appreciated but not required: Music by drmseq
• Don't resell or redistribute the files on their own or inside another asset pack or music library
